  It is a packing capable of a wide variety of uses throughout a plant. It may be used on water, steam, solvents, mild acids and alkalies. and slurries in pumps, expansion joints, mixers and agitators to 260 °C . Another type of fiberglass is wire inserted fiberglass yarn packing. It is available in square cross and round braided with stainless steel wire inserted fiberglass yarns. Can be supplied with colliodal and flake graphite lubrication. It is recommended for use as a gasketing or packing against dry high temperature steam on boiler expansion joints, generator doors, retort covers
